Changing lives and empowering victims of domestic violence.
Wichita Family Crisis Center is thrilled to announce the completion of our NEW HOPE Capital Campaign! The campaign raised more than 7.2 million to purchase and renovate a new facility, which will open later in 2023.
Domestic violence shatters lives. Last year, Wichita Family Crisis Center provided crucial services for 2,000 survivors in the Wichita area to help them put together the pieces. Domestic violence doesn’t have to be the end of someone’s story.
We provide comprehensive services for victims of domestic violence and sexual exploitation. Our aim is to create safe communities by targeting the issues affecting residents and working to prevent future occurrences. Survivors are never alone.

If you attended our Hope Gala, you most likely met some of our amazing event volunteers. Our staff worked hard to bring the theme of HOPE into focus for the evening and our event volunteers helped that vision come alive. These wonderful folks helped us keep the evening running smoothly, assisted guests, and helped out behind the scenes. Thank you to all who volunteered whether that was setting up, working the event, or tearing down. We appreciate YOU! ... See MoreSee Less

One of the ways we are assisting families with breaking the cycle of abuse is by offering supportive services to the children staying at our confidential shelter. Our Parent/Child Advocate works with the family unit to learn coping skills, process their trauma, and teach parenting interventions.

Happy Women's History Month!
Did you know Wichita Family Crisis Center first opened in 1906 as the YWCA of Wichita? The YWCA was dedicated to eliminating racism, empowering women and promoting peace, justice, freedom and dignity for all. The YWCA provided services and educational courses to women who were working outside of the home, or displaced from their home. Some of the first services and educational courses were providing a warm meal to working women and teaching basic first aid. The YWCA was one of the pioneers to aid in women's rights in Wichita.
