Changing lives and empowering victims of domestic violence.
Wichita Family Crisis Center is thrilled to announce the completion of our NEW HOPE Capital Campaign! The campaign raised more than 7.2 million to purchase and renovate a new facility, which will open later in 2023.
Domestic violence shatters lives. Last year, Wichita Family Crisis Center provided crucial services for 2,000 survivors in the Wichita area to help them put together the pieces. Domestic violence doesn’t have to be the end of someone’s story.
We provide comprehensive services for victims of domestic violence and sexual exploitation. Our aim is to create safe communities by targeting the issues affecting residents and working to prevent future occurrences. Survivors are never alone.
Did you know that domestic violence increases dramatically during the holiday season?
Today is Giving Tuesday – a donation today provides safety, security, and recovery to victims of domestic violence. A generous supporter has offered to match each gift in our Shelter from Harm drive – so your donation today will be doubled!
Your donation will give hope to the women and children in our shelter. Every dollar counts!

Way to go, Lincoln!
Assume work Lincoln! ❤️
Sweetest initiative from the most wholesome boy! I just love that supporters of WFCC have such thoughtful and kind children. It wells my heart up to witness such goodness from such a young age!
Quivira Council, Boy Scouts of America check out how Lincoln helped WFCC! This is awesome!
This week our staff spotlight is one of our amazing outreach advocates Savannah Peshek! Here is more about Savannah;
How long have you been with WFCC?
"I started as an intern in January 2023 but began my full time position in June 2023!"
Why have you chosen to work with survivors of domestic violence?
"I choose to work with domestic violence survivors because I believe everyone deserves to feel a sense of hope and safety, which is not always easy to feel after going through trauma. I understand the importance of having someone to support you through difficult times, and I want to be that person for survivors. As an advocate, I hope to make a positive impact in the lives of my clients and in the community as a whole."
What do you wish more people knew about survivors of domestic violence?
"I wish more people understood that domestic violence is so much more than just physical violence. Domestic violence comes in many forms and impacts almost every part of the survivor's life. There are so many barriers that survivors face during the relationship and after fleeing. It's an extremely complex issue, and everyone's journey towards healing looks different."
What is a fun fact about yourself?
"I'm an old soul at heart. In my free time, I love doing puzzles and baking, and would much rather have a cozy night in than go out!"
Thank you for all you do Savannah!! ... See MoreSee Less
